Hi, I have looked at the two CyberPowers you linked to, and they both seem to be pretty solid builds. That having been said, I ahve found somthing else for you to ponder: http://www.amazon.co...&qid=1277393529

If you build it yourself, you will save a bit of money, even with the High priced processor ( The 960 is a bit cheaper than the 975, and Amazon does have it as well as the 965). The Rampage II Motherboard is mATX and the other listed is a Full ATX. It is your decision to make in which direction you want to go. You have allowed yourself a very good budget with which to work, but even with the high priced Processors, by building it yourself, you can save some money. Again, it is ultimately your choice.

Waldojim is right, when your budget gets to this level, you will save massive amounts of money building it yourself. There are guys (well, one in particular on here) who claim that it's not worth the risk, you'll become "Mr. RMA" and what-not, but in my experience that's just not the case. I've got 9 pages of invoices in my Newegg order history alone (almost all of which have several items on them), and have only had to RMA 4 items- and that number includes many orders from several other websites. I say build your own- we're here to help you if you need it!

Asus p6x58D
MSI 5870 1GB w/twin frozr cooling - get 2 of these
PC Power and Cooling Silencer II 950
Intel i7 960
OCZ Reaper 3x4GB 12GB kit 1333mhz 1.5v
WD Black 1TB drive for storage
WD Velociraptor 300GB system drive
Pioneer BR burner
CoolerMaster V8
Current Total: 2,899.90

Now, all you need is to pick a case.

Now don't get me wrong, I realize this is not a 6 core processor - BUT there is a difference between a well balanced gaming machine, and being heavily CPU or GPU limited.

That machine right there, will be very well balanced, with extreme video power, and more than ample CPU to back it. IF you felt that you wanted the six core chip, remember that the CPU cost will double from $500 to $1000, meaning you would have to give up the extra graphics power to stay in budget.

There is one other expense I left out, as I am not sure if you have a means to get your hands on a discounted copy or not... and that is windows.

This rig above will easily outperform the cyberpower rig, and unless they pull a rabbit from a hat, it will be of MUCH higher quality. Just pick a large case to put it all in, and make sure it has plenty of airflow.
