I told them I throughly inspected it and I know there were no scratches of nicks of any kind and it looked perfect. So I said 'send it back'.
The guy paused and said 'Aren't you gonna work with me here?". I said 'Nope, I'd rather let it sit in a drawer, then let you guys make any money from it.'
He told me it would take 4 weeks to get it. Fine by me, just send it.
Well, it only took 5 days to get it back and I just sold it on Craigslist for $350, to a guy in my area. Just drove over got the cash and it was easy.
DO NOT send your phone to 'Cash for iPhones' They are depending on you to take whatever they offer. And since they are still in business, people must be doing it.

It is true that you have to wait for a few days to hear from them. I cannot blame you for feeling so scammed especially if that was your first time in doing the transaction. After five business days, I got a call from them. The surprising thing was they said they saw minor defects and discoloration on the iPhone and its screen. You see, although the appearance of my iPhone was immaculately unscathed, I must admit that there really were defects and a bit of yellow discoloration on the screen. They said I could only offer me $75 dollars! What the heck! I still accepted it.
I think the key there is to be really honest in answering the forms. Or just be prepared. After all, they are a business. Cashforlaptops is not a charitable institution.
