I put my SD card in the slot and the green light comes on but the little box that says import pictures doesn't come up like it used to.
My computer basically just doesn't read the SD card I don't understand.
I read tons of SD card problems but they aren't exactly like mine soo I really need help.

To get the most accurate help, please be as detailed as possible when answering the questions below

Lets start with what brand/size of SD card(s) in question

do you have the issue with just this one card or multiple cards?

have you tried a different SD card reader?

What version of windows are you running?

Does the card show up in My Computer?
Even the experts started out as beginners

One more question to add to Crazy's:

What's the make and model of your computer?

A couple of years ago, my Lenovo X60's SD slot suddenly stopped working. The behavior was just what you described. It was under warranty, so Lenovo fixed it. A hardware problem.

When you goto My Computer does the SD card show up there - usually as a removable drive? If it shows up there the action of what to do when inserted maybe have been changed to "do nothing". If it does not show up there having another sd card to try or trying the problem sd card in another computer would be helpful and a process of elimination. You can also examine the card and the slot for anything that is a miss such as dust, scratches etc.
