Thanx for the information. I like the instant messenger style that many of these tools have. Another good one I have been using is Schedulefire. It's not a messenger, but it is a free scheduling tool for shared resources.

Well, at least one of these tools is already out of business (Socialwok). Here's the first line on the page when you click on their URL:
As of June 26, 2011, new user signups are now currently disabled on Socialwok, and the service is now scheduled to be shut down on July 12, 2011.

Great article. In addition to above list, another option is deploying on premise RHUB online collaboration appliances in order to conduct webinars, online meetings, online presentations etc.
