I've been waiting for July 15th for months, but still haven't been able to make enough $ for one. But, I will go to the Verizon store to see it and dream of next month!

PC World is supposed to be a TECH site, for chris sake.
Ars Technica did extensive testing on the iPhone 4's 5 megapixel camera and found it superior to HTC's 8 megapixels; all to do with the amount of light, sensor sensitvity, the LENS, etc.
Not trying to say Droid isn't a good phone -- but this is an example of a pure "feature" which doesn't take quality into account.
Reception -- now that may well be a whole other issue.

wow, sounds like the sheep are getting pissy. shouldnt you be in another article bitching about how a big deal is being made about reception issues.
ps: a front facing camera is a gimmick that 99% of phone buyers will never use. the blackberry which owns the smartphone market doesnt have one.

I'm running a stock Droid Incredible from HTC which is an incredible phone. Any modern smartphone gets a wifi signal, Android phones can use a free ap called PDAnet to tether to a computer ($30 after a trial period if you want to go to secure sites) and my cousin and brother are running older 1st gen Android phones and have rooted them to be wifi hotspots.

We compared several smartphone cameras late last month:

That doesn't speak well for Android in reality. But then we'll see how things go over the next year or so. Everyone benefits from both phone giants working to be a strong competitor.

Actually this phone is garbage. You can read about it here(also a review on this site as well): http://gizmodo.com/5...y-just-sold-you
I'll be enjoying the iPhone 4, antenna issues and all. Best phone out, hands down (YES, even with the antenna issue) and can be jailbroken with ease. I had the Droid Eris, the Android Market is a total joke compared to the App Store and the Droid phones are laughable compared to the iPhone, in my opinion. Droid is good for one thing, making sh*t shine. Not to mention your OS is outdated a month after you buy it because they constantly release new versions on one of the many devices the software runs on. Now they are making it impossible to root, which leaves you dead in the water. FAIL. If your going to stick with Droid's wait for the Incredible and hope HTC and Veriozon don't put up more boundaries.

There has been no charge for any of the Google Android updates thus far, that I am aware of. So there will be no charge for a Froyo update either.

The Droid X has a Mechanical Shutter (capable of 1/1000 sec.!). This is missed in most reviews as well. This will allow the Droid X to take some high speed motion shots which were not compared to the iPhone 4! Also there is a panorama mode on the Droid X which I believe needs to be evaluated and compared. Along with the different mic. modes when shooting video.
