of course they were wrong to doctor the photo....at least ethically....but it seems like the company has no ethics. I mean, really, they can't just take a picture modern day of the control room? That takes all of what, 5 minutes?

Yes it is certainly wrong. I would not trust BP with anyhing now, they are continually proving they are untrustworthy!
I think it is important for the public to know that there are some BIG players behind all of this and people are running scared!
The Oil Cartel’s Goal: Toppling the Obama Government
The largest oil spill in US history was caused by British Petroleum (BP), a prominent member of the international Oil Cartel. While this environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has lasted for months, the decisive question still remains unanswered: Who benefits from this escalating crisis? This public health information here provides an answer from a historical perspective.

While I agree that they shouldn’t have edited the photo, I don't see the big deal. It's not like they inserted pictures of kids playing on a pristine beach. The story told by the edited picture is no different than the story told by the original picture.
As far as some of the monitors not having a feed...you do know technology isn't perfect, right? Cables come unplugged, signals get interrupted, cameras break, computers crash, and maintenance needs to be performed occasionally.
