Hey mjd, Yep. It's screwed up. You'll get the same thing if you try to go a profile page as well. Bill is working on it, I think. I got flustered yesterday in trying to deal with some spammers, as I couldn't do what I needed to do and gave it up around 10 AM and decided to install Windows 7 in this thing as a dual boot. I was back into the forums by 1:30, with the same problems. I think He was working with a Forum Software upgrade, but it apparantly hasn't gone well.

I thought it was just me. I tried another machine and had the same fault, so I'm glad it's not something on my end but sorry to hear it's much bigger than anything I did. WHEW

Somehow, crazyforlaptops was able to PM me and I couldn't get into the profile page. I rebooted into Vista thinking maybe there were some settings off in Win 7. Nope, Still the same old same old.

Have you tried clicking the envolope icon under the sig?
PM page pops for me as well.
Clicking a name goes nowhere. Can't access my profile.
That sucks, it makes finding my post faster.
Bold, italic and underline doesn't work.

Not much of anything works. We use the profile and posts to weed out the Spam ( sometimes 30+ posts )and can't do it. I've got one with multiple SPAM posts, but could only delete the ones that were reported. Haven't tried the envelope.

UPDATE: Yup, that worked. Thanks.

It's monday and day four of not being able to use the "view new content" tab. How can I keep up with the average of 300 to 400 new entries made daily?? I can't seem to find the time to select each topic and browse the new posts. I have to skip three quarters of them and concentrate on the most interesting. I know I'm missing loads of posts but can't seem to find a better way to organize this. What's the status??

Hey mjd, A few of the bugs have been addressed, but still a ways to go. According to Bill, the support from the software folks has been a bit slow in coming ( nothing new there in this day and time ). He said he hoped to have most if not all of the issues fixed, hopefully today sometime, but it depends I guess on what if anything else crops up. Believe me when I say that we Moderators are going to have a time of it removing all the SPAM posts that have backed up, due to not being able to locate them. :P

It looks a lot better now! (The HTML code doesn't appear in the post, and I can visit profiles now. Yay!)

Good luck on zapping the spammers!

My page looks exactly the same as Flashhorn's even after clearing the cache. I've tried FF 3.6, Chrome 3.0, Opera 10.6, and IE 8.0. It looks like the Search bar and User info sections need some CSS. The Notifications pane is gone still. In addition, the Favorites icon is the one default for IPB.

Any chance we can get you to enable Fast Reply for posts? It would probably help newbies who click the Reply button on a post and get confused with all the BBCode.

When I get home later I'll try my laptop and my xp partition.
I am curious how they will display.

I don't see how the difference in operating system would affect how a web browser renders a web page. To further test your theory, I just opened the PCworld forums page on a Windows 7 Premium 64-bit machine and got the same result as I did on my Windows XP 32-bit machine when trying Firefox, and both 32-bit/64-bit Internet Explorer. You didn't mention whether you tried other browsers, Rommel. Could you provide a screenshot for all of us to base our responses on?

Yes, the notifications windows are still missing, this should be true in all browsers. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get that fixed today.
