I have a laptop running Windows XP Media Edition, I had a program installed on an external HD which crashed, I have the original program CD, I tried to reinstall it on my primary HD, it starts OK but as soon as I get to the INSTALL window it says it was interrupted and did not install. I noticed the original program is listed on my Add?remove list in control panel, tried to remove it and I get a msg about "fatal error" I am assuming (since I am somewhat a novice) that any reference to the original program has to be removed from the registery but am hisitant to do this without specific instructions, can anyone assist me?[/b]
