I've been trying to install Doom 3 under Ubuntu 9.10 using the guide as seen here without any luck. http://zerowing.idso...com/linux/doom/

It seems once I use the command "doom 3" in terminal nothing happens. You would think after installing the game there would've been a desktops shortcut provided, but I haven't gotten any where. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Doom 3,hmmm,havent played that game in ages.Whenever u install a game there SHOULD be a shortcut on the desktop.Thats common sense.Try reinstalling the game or Go to id's website and email them.

Thanks for the response. My problem has been solved. I decided to use a different .run installation engine, so we're up and running now. About time. :P
