Now, how about figuring out how to keep Bing 'popups' from blocking half the stuff I'm trying to read all the time. Occasionally when I mouse over some highlighted text on a webpage I get an obnoxious bing popup that I have to precisely click the world's smallest 'close / X' button in the corner of it to get it to go away.

I prefer to leave Bing as it is and add no other Search Provider. If any user wants Google, Ask, etc. I just set their Start Page to it. That way they can use their choice and nothing gets unnecessarily installed; like crappy services or plug-ins that do no good and slow down browsing. Finally there is no mention of rotten fruits, even in an Article that is getting rid of MS stuff.

How about trying Bing and actually developing an open mind on it? It is, and I say this honestly as a converted Google user, the best search engine in the world.

The trouble with Bing is that I it is either a pop up or it comes up even though I have done everthing that I am told to get rid of it. You might like Bing but I don't and I should not be having to look at it all the time... It comes up every time I access the Internet.

I think I've found the secret to permanently getting rid of the Bing bar when it comes up on a New Tab with the cursor in its field instead of the address field.

Go to “Tools” on IE 9 “Internet Options”
Then: “Programs”
“Manage add-ons”
Scroll down to “Zugo Ltd”
Select “StartNow Toolbar, Zugo Ltd," Change "Enable" to "Disable"
Select “StartNow Toolbar Helper, Zugo Ltd” Change "Enable" to "Disable"
Click “Close” and restart IE9.
When a new Tab is selected, “Bing” is no longer on the page.
So far this has worked, but I haven’t tried actually restarting the computer.
