If your mentioning success with an iPod Touch then mention what you can do to better your life or career with one. Like what apps will get you ahead of the game.
Sure seems like anyone can write articles for PC World nowadays.

NONE of the functions above can't be done more easily elsewhere. The difference is that when you do them elsewhere, you get to do them outside of the infamous walled garden where Steve Jobs & Co have decided what's best for you. You have choices. You have options. You have ways and means that are not approved of by a "benevolent" man whose interest in your happiness only enriches him and his interests.
No thanks. I have better options and I'll cleave to them instead of drinking the Apple-flavored Kool-aid.

-The screen isn't as sharp;
-The speaker isn't very strong, which affects video chat (Facetime)
- 256MB RAM (compared to 512MB with iPhone 4); and
-The camera is .69 megapixels, whereas the one on the iPhone 4 is 5 megapixels.

Yep. Laptops are too bulky. But iPhones and ipod touches are pocket-friendly. And with skype available on both why would anyone consider taking their laptop just for skype.
You can Skype with an iPod Touch and earpiece. A laptop is probably going to be bulkier.

What makes you think whoever bought an iPhone wants to buy an iPod touch. Where did you got that idea from. And I would love to hear why you no longer work at Apple, by the way. You just said that you worked for Apple and now you hate them? Why? Explain yourself? I didn't like this article in the first place, but I still like most Apple products.

No offense but a lot of Apple haters this morning....
Let me answer your points:
- Screen is as sharp as the one on iPhone 4. It's the viewing angle that is lower on the iPod Touch 4. Personaly I dont find any problems with this since I am not going to be viewing my iPod Touch more than an angle of 60 degrees.
- The speaker does not affect video chat in any way, and by the way its stronger than on the iPod Touch 3g which my girlfriend has.
- 256MB of RAM is enough for everything that is done on the iPod Touch. The iPad has the same amount of memory and I haven't heard anyone complaining. The 512 MB of RAM on the iPhone 4 is due to the 5MP camera, for photo taking and editing.
- Yes the camera is .7 MP and that is due to the thin factor of the iPod Touch 4. THere is no way in fitting a 5MP camera and keeping the same size. BTW if I really want to take a great picture I wont be using a phone either but a dedicated camera. The small camera is good for taking a fast snapshot and recording videos.
Anything else you hate about Apple? I am 100% sure you dont have the iPod touch 4, but is cool to come here and talk trash about a product you dont own.
After all it's really "in" nowadays to hate Apple.
Cheers

No tools meant to give you success. This journalist, if he is anything like one, is probably not speaking career success, but instead he means iPod Toch 3G was a success from Apple. Now the iPod Touch, like all computers, is a double edge sword. They have tools to help you optimize business and productivity, but for most people these computers are nothing but a distraction. For one, in college it surprises me what laptops and smartphones are doing to people. When they are using it you might think they're taking notes but no they're not. They are usually playing games. So, if you talk about success, a lot of unnecessary time is spent on most computers just like you and me and everyone else in here. We're too interested fighting about iPod Touches and rarely think about what's worth fighting for. Keep that in mind.
