No, Vonage are the biggest thieves out there. The service is fair but when you don't renew, they rescind all the discounts
that they gave you as incentives when you first try their service. Within seconds after you cancel online, they deduct all
of the cash from your card! I was shocked since this was never mentioned after the first year! So if you intend to cancel,
change your debit or credit card number to deprive these bandits of their original discounts. Very upsetting. Forget Vonage.

I've had 2 majic jack lines during the last 3 years. They never really worked for us (I gave the other one to my friend in another country). They never worked. On some occasions that they did, there were plenty of static interference, audio quality was very poor, and forwarding to it's voice mail hardly ever worked. (Search through the archives of PCMagazine.com for their retraction of their Best-Buy recommendation when Majicjack was first introduced). Good luck. - coblink

You have to call another Nettalk or majicjack in another country and you'll enjoy free international calling. Otherwise, the new Google Voice international calls are less expensive than AT&T or any of the prepaid international calling cards. Third option is obviously, SKYPE.

Why would anyone want to pay Vonage a recurring monthly fee? How can that be called the "king" of service? Vonage is ripping people off so badly. Think of the cash they are raking in off of all those people who must love sending them money each and every month! My duo gives me the exact same service for a YEARLY fee of only 30.00 bucks. Hmmm, which is the better deal?

Yes you can make international calls with both MagicJack and netTALK Duo.Both have FREE calling from MJ to MJ or from netTalk to netTALK.Also both have a prepaid piggy bank for calls to anywhere other than the U.S.A. and CANADA.Both companys could do a better job at showing the rates for each country etc.I have made calls to several countries on both (France,Italy, and the U.K.) I will say netTALK gives better accounting of funds after your call is over.MJ adds money to piggy bank via VISA,MC,DISC,and AmEx the last time i used.netTALK adds via PAYPAL or VISA,MC,DISC,and AmEx in $1,$5,$10 and $20 increments.

I have OOMA and have been quite happy with it but I do have the "no monthly cost" version that costs about $220 for equipment. The net talk is costwise probably a better deal. Call quality on OOMA is very good... I. Don't know how it compares to net talk... The review suggests well if net talk is directly into a router...
