First off I can see why people are so hesitant about getting prepaid phones. I was really scared to switch over to prepaid because it has always had this bad "stigma" I dont know. I was tired of paying a hundred dollars a month on a phone with a similar signal and similar options. I finally got a tracfone. Used my same number.. and I must say I am quite impressed. I got the bundle for like 8 bucks more with lots of extra accessories and I have had NO problems with any signal or losing reception issues.

Love tracfone! it seems to have the best value of the prepaid lot. And what this article says is exactly true, I felt the same way and that's why I left contract carriers for good!

I have had the best experience with Tracfone. They recently came out with Straight Talk and they have a pretty good selection of phones. They have a smartphone, but I like simple,so purchased the Samsung and glad i did.Meets all my needs, specially texting. And seriously can't beat the $45 unlimited flat rate! Highly recommend them, only wish they had more "teen" based phones, more colors on your phones would be great!

Prepaid market is winning the race. Atleast from my view point. Very few friends have contracts. Surprised Straight Talk was not one of the ones mentioned.I believe they are associated with Tracfone, who are well established. I have the Samsung with ST and on the Unlimited plan for $45, the coverage is great and my only complaint is they need more of a "sleek" selection.
