Just bought a great new widescreen LCD monitor from LG. I spent a few weeks searching the internet for any tips on how to make my JPG images look normal instead of stretched.....didn't find anything.I played around with the software I had but none would make the picture narrower untilI loaded one into Microsoft's Paint program, clicked on IMAGE, STRETCH, then changed the horizontal setting from 100% to 90% and voila, the picture looked normal.I just wanted to be able to use My Pictures folder as a screen saver, so I made a new folder called Widescreen Pics and copied about 100 pictures into it, then loaded each one into Paint, made them 90% narrower and resaved it. Now these duplicate JPG's look normal but will not be used to make any prints.

What screen resolution did you have on your widescreen? Also was it a VGA or DVI connection between the tower and the monitor? Just a couple of background questions if you don't mind.Regards,JB

To JBMy LCD monitor setting is 1152 x 864 and currently using a VGA cable. I was lookingat the digital cables in my area and they are priced around $40, so not sure if I needto get one yet as the monitor is very clear and colours brilliant.

Does your tower have a DVI connector so that you could use a digital cable? That resolution is a widescreen one or at least my widescreen monitor could support that though I like the 1440 x 900 configuration that I've used since day one.
