After doing a pc restore because I thought I had a virus on my pc and know of no other better way to get rid of it I went to system BIOS and set it to default. After this the pc booted and then I began getting screen dialog to "Enter System password" Wen I did the pc restore I did nnot put in a new password. I tried using other older passwords but I can't get into my pc. I called my pc maker (DEll) and they say it's te moterboard. I googled te problem and there it says to take out te CMOS battery and put it back to reset. I tried tis but found taking apart a laptop was not so easy. Mine was getting stuck in place and I didn't want to break te board or te keys board. The pc is a DEll Inspiron 5010 tat I got new in July past.If anyone there knows of a system passord tat migt unlock my pc please write.

Hi there, I have the same problem. Replaced the screen and when tried to log on, there was this white screen saying that I needed the HDD password, not the BIOS. I really don't know what to do. I, like you was going to take the motherboard off, but when I saw all the screws, I just couldn't do it. Being researching all day and I'm tired. If I come across with something, will let you know and I expect you do the same ;o) Thanks and good luck.
