pc dvd playing problem

hi i purchased a sony dw g120a dvd ram player/recorder for my pc a couple of months ago and worked great,but the other day it stopped playing some of my dvd's,it plays some but not others it still read cd fine but i think it is dual layer dvd it cant play please help
