Forgot to do this. Added a Samsung Series 830 256 Gb SSD to the rig a couple of weeks ago. Man that thing is fast!!!

Coastie...Have you any input on Error 1316? What about Wise Fixer (registry program) can't find out much about it...ie cost, etc...Been on an extended vacation, got back to find my PSE 9.0 in a state. Can't open it and I keep getting Error 1316 when I try to fix it....Lee

coastie65 Took the new build out of service yesterday to hook up the Gateway that need updating. Took the time to due some routine cleaning of the Beast.

Not sure what they use, except that they are Dell. You know, they may do just that, reformat the Hdd, although the upgrades could be time consuming, unles they some arraingment to have the updates put on disk. Had an offer form the County to work on those things, but said I wasn't coming out of retirement. I like having every day as Saturday. : )

They probably use disk images, make sure those have the latest windows updates, and deploy them to the machines when necessary.

Yeah, forgot about that possibilty. Would make the job a lot easier and faster. They only have so much time to go through several thousand laptops.

Not recommended for the faint of heart.
