As far as systems go, why will this even be an issue? Most networks sync to an external source, then pass that info to the rest of the network. On Windows systems your best bet is to TURN OFF that checkbox that says "Automatically adjust clock for DST"Once your server time is correced it will pass that to the systemsWhat am I missing something here? It is only an hourThe FUD in this industry kills me....ewwhhhh the sky is falling.....wankers.........Ron

Exactly! And cameras, camcorders, VCR's, etc. I wish they never started this DST crap in the first place! Just stop the whole thing!

It is easy to ask why and blast the politicians, system, etc. The fact is that the change in DST is here and it is time to deal with it. Microsoft has published several ways to make the change, from updates to manual solutions. Of course you have to apply the right one. They even have an update that will remove the wrong update if you applied it by mistake (Australia instead of US). The updates are not auto due to the large number of Countries involved, you have to go to update and select the right one for your location. Or you can go with one of the manual register editing methods MS provides (good luck, I hope you don't crash your computer). MS also provides instructions for dealing with the many different operating systems and programs that they publish. A good place to start is http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst then go on from there.

If you schedule IT staff to go around and click the Adjust Time/Date on these older PCs, I now know why the stock market slumped. The NT units here are mostly for controling equipment that is too expensive to replace. The 9x PCs are in secure locals that are controled by their local trustees. All 2k PCs are pushed out the TZEdit file for updating when they get turned on that Monday. All XP PCs got the update from the WSUS server here. The Mainframe and applications that run for scheduling clinic patients and times for medication dispencing were updated by the venders and don't even look at the PC for the time. Took all of 2 days of worrying before it was fixed. Now what about our TiVo? Actually I think it gets the time from the Cable Co. so we should be safe. The old VCR does too so VCR Plus shouldn't be affected either.
