This is so stupid. If you had administrative rights, you could replace winword.exe on a Vista computer too. Or excel.exe. Or notepad.exe. I can see the headline, "Vista's Notepad Creates Vunlerability." Oh my god! OS X and Linux suffer from this, administrative-rights executable replacement vulnerability also! Think of it, administrators on any operating system can replace the executables of programs on their PCs. We'd better do something about that!

Good point. I became negative about McAfee years ago when they used very annoying pop-up ads to advertise their pop-up blocker software.

Wonderful. Wouldn't that be like using a virus to infect machines and display ads for an antivirus program? Has anyone done that yet?
