A woman is suing Microsoft for $5Million for deceptive practices in conjuction with telliing people they could upgrade from XP to VISTA for Under $100 - but not telling them it's VISTA BASIC and not Premium.Check out the legal papers filed.http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/dayart/pdf/vistacapablesuit.pdfNice!

I think I'll sue Microsoft because they never told me that the $99 version of Vista was Basic and not Ultimate. It doesn't matter that everyone already knows that basic is the $99 version, I'm an idiot and it's Microsoft's fault.

I was tricked the same way, but I kind of blame Dell. I was under the impression that my computer would come with XP installed and I would have the option of upgrading for free. It came with Vista Basic installed
