I am currently running Windows XP MCE. I ran the Vista advisor and it told me that my rig was Vista Premium ready. It also checked all my installed programs. At the time I had Dungeon Siege, Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna, Dungeon Siege II, and Dungeon Siege II: Broken World installed. It told me that Vista would not run Dungeon Siege. Thatdidn't surprize me seeing as how it didn't run so hot with XP either, except for maybe the last chapter or so. Guess I'll just hang with what I have and save the money. I can buya couple new games or run a few more bar tabs thus keeping my social life up to date. As to the comment about Vista being a bloated version of ME, I've heard that on several occasions. My sister bought a machine years ago that came with ME. By all accounts it was a real dog ( the O.S. not the machine ). My guess is that not many willchose to upgrade to Vista and about the only people running it will be those who bought a rig with it already installed. Anyone agree with that assessment? coastie65

At the moment I would agree with that. However, there is an upcoming service pack for Vista and likely many things that Vista has started like Readyboost and other new technologies still have some kinks to get worked out that may be why down the road in a few years Vista won't be seen as a huge deal to have and run. Don't forget that before XP there were only a few times where Microsoft had released a new Operating system, e.g. 2000, 98, 95 besides ME, and the release now is likely very different from when those earliest Windows versions came out like 95.JMHO,JB
