[quote:8223b385b2]"Engineering a patch is a long, complex process," said Mark Miller[/quote:8223b385b2]Yes, it is, but Microsoft really needs to up the amount of patches they push out by a ton. This ANI issue should have been at latest fixed in February. We all know that every patch takes time, but this was a serious threat, and that's not even near a hyperbole. Not only does it affect every Windows OS, but it allows complete control over a system, with a publicly available exploit. You don't wait for something to be taken off of milw0rm/F-D and be out in-the-wild before you send out the fix/start fixing it.I'm not just picking on Microsoft here, Apple has a marginally better way of pushing out updates (at increments that make sense). But, what am I complaining about, I'm on Linux, and my vendor does very well with response times.
