heheStar Wars for me. Its my favorite movie of all time (by far).I do enjoy Star Trek though, I love TNG, original and Enterprise (canceled long before its time). Sorry I don't really care for DS9 and I guess I held a grudge against Voyager for being on after TNG because I didn't want it to end (ya know paramounts decision.) A long long time ago on an isp far far away I actually got banned from AOL (for life)for harassing the Star Trek Bridge. Back then is when trek wars was very hot and the thing is we didn't have anything at the time. You typed in keyword star trek you would get forums a chat etc, you type in star wars and we had nothing. So we all had to meet in private rooms. That was a very long time ago, and I was very immature at the time lol.We can all get along though. I actually host a Vulcanism site for a friend.

I confess: I was raised by Trekkies. Star Trek was an institution in my house -- we all watched all the movies and TV shows. Even to this day, I still retain a fairly astonishing amount of knowledge about Klingon anatomy and Borg assimilation. It's not that I don't like Star Wars -- it's ok. I've really tried to like it more than I do, but I think that you have to start young or you just never reach the level of fandom that most people have for it. I even saw Episode 1 in the theater. And Episode 2, although it was a bad movie and a worse date, so I tend to block that one out of my memory. So I voted for Star Trek. What can I say... even around geeks, I'm pretty unhip.

Logical and cool like Mr. Spock. He is my favorite hero not only in Star trek.8) Did you know: 40 years from series beginning and 28 from first motion picture?

Definitely Star Wars, even with how it started, John Williams booming into. music along with the scrolling chapter dialogue, grabbed you right away. Like Cosmo, the action and battle scenes were excellent. "Luke, father not I am mmmmmm"

And then I suppose you could get into the whole "which was the best movie of each series? " IMO for Star Trek, "The Wrath of Khan"; for Star Wars, "The Empire Strikes Back". Any takers?

I really like Episode 3, but of course to name it as my favorite would be blasphemy lolIve heard a lot of people say ESB because its dark undertones etc I don't really like how it ends on a down note myself. I use to always go with RTOJ but I dunno anymore (original not the redone one special edition >> dvd :( )So, I guess I will have to say.. A New Hope? I would have to think about it. I do really like yoda scenes in ESB though.Trek.. well I dunno I don't remember much of the original series movies I do however remember the part where Scotty was playing the bagpipes at Spocks funeral. I'll go with Generations for trek, I really l like the storyline and the merger of the original an tng.

I'm a long time Star Trek fan (the ultimate geek show). Even with its often cheesy dialog, overacting, and Shatner's one word sentences, I still preferred it to Star Wars. I'm sure that if Star Wars had started on television before going to movies, it would have been equally as cheesy.I never did particularly care for DS9 though (dull and boring), and ST Enterprise seemed to be a dud right out of the gate. When the writers realized this, they seemed to jump wholeheartedly into the time travel thing, which turned a lot of their fans off. The only good thing about it was the hot Vulcan (Jolene Blalock). The Enterprise captain often came across as a total weenie. Who knew that ST Enterprise would become Quantum Leap, The Next Generation?

I never really got into ST Voyager but I was happy to see a female captain on the show.
