Unfortunately the Western World doesn't quite get the total picture, always thinking exclusively about money. The important technologies in OLPC are not just about cost, but about extremely Low Power. That too is what the next billion people in the third world really need. "Inexpensive only" designs just gets you into the major cities -- not the rural communities. For some of us, this is a far more important feature. -BHC
