Ref. XP SP3

My Windows Exploder Rt. Click-Menu has grown very big, due to various programs adding their own items to the menu.

Does anybody know how to remove unused or useless items from the Win. Exploder Rt. Click Menu?

Thanx

Hey MLStrand56

If you have CCleaner , open and choose Tools > Startup > Context menu :

Disable which ever one you want.

You're the WINNER!!!

You're suggestion Worked Pefectly. I was able to delete the most offending items. I rebooted & they were GONE. I'll do this again to remove all those Useless WinRar options.

THANKS, Flashorn!!!!!!!

Hey MLStrand56!

Glad it helped and your Welcome

As for WinRar. you could've avoided those context menu entry when
you installed the program by using (i think) the Custom Install and
unchecking those already marked check boxes. I remember seeing
those boxes upon install.

There is also a way to do it in the registry and it's not hard but, better
to not play around with it if you are not used to do so.

Now, keep those programs updated !!!

If you us Firefox, go to Tools > Add-Ons > Pluggins.
Click on the Check for Updates on the upper left corner.

Java
Flash Player
Shockwave Flash Player
Shockwave for Director
Adobe Reader

When opening or using these programs

CCleaner
MalwareBytes'
Your Antivirus
Windows

Talk to you soon.

I Always do a Custom Installation of ALL software. Wasn't familiar with WinRar when I installed it, except that's better than WinZip now.

I have no problem hacking any XP Registry. It's not as scary/dangerous as a lot of people think. In fact, after I UNinstall Any software (with Revo), I edit the registry for anything that Revo didn't remove.
