I have been trying to use the trackpad on a new Windows 8 computer (instead of a mouse) and have inadvertently made changes to the navigation bar in the Explorer window. Is there some way I can restore it to how it was? I now have : Favorites - Desktop/Downloads/Recent places - as it was.
Then I have a space followed by : Desktop (again) - Libraries (Documents/Pictures/Music/Videos)
- Homegroup
- my computer name
- Computer (drive letters and numbers)
- Network
- Control panel
- Recycle bin
all without separating spaces.
How does this all work.? Can I move these around somehow to get back to what I had?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Are you talking about items in the upper left, like in the picture? You just right-click those and click 'Remove'.

Thanks - but I found the fix - Folder Options - Restore default - so simple.
