Yawn. I do not see a whole bunch of security experts writing viruses and releasing them into the world.

I'm with you. Where's the money exploit - malware that absolutely takes over Mac OSX or spreads like I LOVE YOU? Until that happens, they're just reinforcing Mac's security superiority. BTW, I don't own a Mac; I run Windows XP. One of the many security apps I run is Spy Sweeper, which now tells me "You are protected from 174,338 (Windows) threats." So in the grand scheme of things, these bugs found in the Safari beta browser are pretty much the hight of lameness.

It's not Apple with the bad attitude. Apparently they are fully unaware that far more than just Apple dislikes them (If Apple really does). Having dealt with these rude and self-important people myself I wouldn't trust them any more than your typical politician. I'd love to have a job where all I do is bring up other faults all day and whine that they aren't getting fixed fast enough. It's like dealing with a room full of 7th grade adolescents.

I don't understand what these security thudheads are ranting about anyway; does the term 'beta' mean anything to them? They are expecting perfect, fault-free performance from a program that, by its very name, implies that there are likely to be flaws?I'm sorry, that's just stupid. They're mad because Apple is "hostile" toward security researchers; is that any reason to be impartial?

Beta and Secure from day one - spot the contradiction!A very nice browser with a lot of potential and a few flaws like Firefox and IE7, but,Apple should waken up and realise they are now surfing in a shark infested sea and not their natural habitat of lake placid. Suddenly Bill Gates almost looks like a long suffering hero - almost!
