Hi Conrad. Sorry to conflict with your friend's opinion but there is no such thing as a program that arbitrarily makes backups of your programs.Hi have some questions for you:- How are you actually checking the space available of your hard drive(s)?- How exactly were you uninstalling programs?- How exactly are you deleting files from your hard drive(s)?Once you respond to these questions, we can start troubleshooting for you.

Well, firstly, if AVG is your only protection, you are severly underprotected. AVG is only virus protection, nothing else. You need to have a least one spyware protection.I would advise getting SuperAntiSpyware.Secondly, after you run the spyware application, defrag your hard drive. Once you have done both of those steps, restart your computer and post your results.

You should give serious consideration to purchacing a MUCH larger hard drive, the prices have come WAY down in the last year, and the storage size has gone way up.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144309http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144203Just 2 examples

Yeah, I was kind of hoping that after he ran the SAS, that could potentially free up some space.....I just thought about something. This may not solve your problem but it may help. When was the last time you deleted your personal data? (Cache, cookies, temp files, etc.)

Just for the sake of knowing, download and install Rootkit Revealer. This application will tell you if you have Rootkits in your system and give you a log to show forums that specialize in Rootkit removal. When you Open Windows Explorer, do you see a lot of "Hidden Files" in the status line?

[quote name='Conrad5620']oh and i got a Q under my hard drive in my windows folder is it supposed to be 12gb cause i dont remember bein that bigWhat do you mean by this statement? Did you partition your hard drive?Hidden files are files like System folders or folder that Windows deems you should not access. When you open Windows Explorer, at the bottom of the screen, you should see a status like. Within certain folder, that status line may say "xx objects (xx Hidden)." Do you see anything like that?
