That normal.dot file is a huge aggravation! It tries to resave every time the Word file closes prematurely. Then you have to get out of Word, delete it and go on.The title was misleading -- I assumed it was recovering a deleted Word document.

I know that it seems silly for this particular file, but I never recommend that customers delete any Microsoft files. Always rename them, in this case to something like normal.bak. This allows the user to return to the previous file if their fix does not work. Just a good idea to get into the habit of renaming, not deleting.
