In one paragraph, the article says there is no Wi-Fi because it would make the handset too thick. In another paragraph, the article says you can make telephone calls using it as a VOIP handset using 802.11/a/b/g Wi-Fi. I'm confused!

Quote from Article "The Wi-Fi in the previous version is gone from the HT1100, however. That's because there was more of an emphasis on design, and the inclusion of Wi-Fi would have led to a thicker handset."

Quote from Article "Like the HTC-1100, the F1100 is a slider-type handset running Windows Mobile 6. It will be available early next year. The device can function as both a conventional cell phone, via a WCDMA network, and as a VOIP handset using 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi networks."

The first quote pertains to the HT1100. The second quote pertains to the F1100. I can understand your confusion; however, both paragraphs are referring to two different models.
