This went on for four years? Not unusual. I wonder if Ebay Trust & Safety will ever suspend him. He may have been a Power Seller, and in that case, he can still list auctions from jail. After all, he'll need money to pay the restitution.

Best,

Two years in prison? He should of got more. I'm sick of having to worry when using eBay. There are so many scammers and large corporations with huge feedback ratings that couldn't care any less about customer support and helping you with your problems. You leave a negative feedback, and what do you get? One back. You could be one of most knowledgeable, friendly and fast paying buyers but when the seller doesn't send your item and you question him or her and eventually leave a negative feedback for a valid reason, you ruin your percentage of positive feedback when he or she leaves one back.

Regardless of all this, I'll continue to use eBay while being extremely careful over who I order from.

Yes it is hard to let Ebayers know if an auctioner is doing something wrong when Ebay wont even post negative feedback reports on that auctioner, especially if that auctioner is one of their good customers. For the most part their feedback is useless because of this.

I can see why it went on for 4 yrs. The buyers had to follow eBay's complaint policy (which is useless) allowing the fraudulent seller to delay response until the buyer has no recourse because of time limits set by eBay !
