holy smokes, i'm sitting here in stunned disbelief at what i have just read. does anybody know the definition of SPYWARE? you have just read it. quote "The technology, he said, uses third-party cookies, which are bits of data sent to a browser by a Web site and store certain information about users. That data is then used by ad networks to serve up what ad networks believe are relevant ads." how is this not SPYWARE? this entire article speaks of how yahoo is buying ADVERTISEMENT SPYWARE technology and installing the toolbar onto my childrens computer. quote "particularly 13 to 24-year-olds." there is nothing said about yahoo improving the user experience, only about tracking their web surfing behavior and serving ads. yahoo doesn't care about the user. they only care about their advertising hit count revenue and targeting 13 year olds. how can this possibly benefit yahoo? i better not find this toolbar or cookies on my 13 year olds computer. i will sue the investors.
