I have a family member that purchase a vacuum cleaner "robot" and they have noted to me that it does an outstanding job of cleaning beneath surfaces hard to reach surfaces such as under beds. Once you program it, it does the rest for you. For people who are reaching that state of age, I can see where these types of things would come as a convenience.
