Japanese Device Challenges iPhone

Japan has had better cell networks and handsets than the US for years, this is hardly news. Apple isn't trying to market the iPhone in Japan and this phone, if brought to the US, would be connected to our lousy, slow networks. So I see very little point to this article.

Someone needs to do a bit of research before writing their articles!
1. The iPhone does not have a "Hard Drive". It's 8GB of Flash memory. Most folks prefer having a large library on their device for variety, even if they don't listen to the whole thing every day.
2. While 2.4M bps is far better than EDGE, how about 54M bps for the iPhone's WiFi (when in range of a network, of course)?
3. Japanese online music stores outshining iTunes? Because they can download music directly to the phone? Catch up! iTunes on the iPhone does this and far more.

Yawn... local network or country specific features are not interesting to the rest of the world. FeliCA or DTV sound great (or not) but irrelevant to an iPhone/USA/RoW etc. 3G is obviously nice to have but in real-life, EDGE is OK for the things on the iPhone (web, email, GMaps, etc.). In general, don't drone on about competitors to the iPhone until someone can come up with a UI that wasn't designed by a retarded martian.
I know you want to drum up pageviews but to conflate a semi-review of a cute little candy bar phone with a discussion of the superiority of Japanese networks/tv/payment systems while trying to drag in something about an iPhone is pathetic pseudo-journalism. Get back to tagging real articles and making new friends on facebook...
