This is completely incorrect. It does not have onboard memory. It has a 256MB memory card. And with the HDMI connection it is capable of 1080p resolution, not just 1080i.

I think this is a good move from MS, but why couldn't they bump up the storage from 256MB to 1GB? I can get a 1GB memory stick for about 10 bucks, would it have killed them to beef it up that much?
All in all though this is a very good deal. The HDMI port is key, as owners of HDTV's know.
I like what MS has done with their XBOX pricing, they have positioned themselves next to the WII as far as affordability, but have retained the hard-core gamer edge (and tech audience) with the HDMI port. Anyone with half a tech brain can add on a hard drive later.
I'm in the market for a next gen system this holiday and I will seriously consider this priced to move unit from MS. I will probably wait until reliability reviews come out, given all the problems with the last batch of units.
