Try Inbox.com for free email...
5GB storage (that's right, five), customizable interface, calendar, notes, todo and even file storage in that 5GB. Beats GMail IMHO, because it does the label thing as well as the traditional (and for me more convenient) folder organization.
Also, I have been using inbox.com for almost 2 years and not a single piece of spam, probably because no one is trying to spam "random_user"@inbox.com, whereas all my GMail accounts have already been pelted with offers for everything from free money to more pleasure for my woman. It's not a bad problem but it does exist.

In 20 yrs. all software will be web-based and you will have to pay for it (Pay Per View or Pay Per Use) . Bill Gates has said so, 10 yrs. ago, and these programs prove it ! The personal computer's days are numbered and we will be back to dumb terminals with WiMax connections that give us everything through our TV's.

Nice list, though I guess it is mighty difficult to decide which are the top 10, there are so many other web apps that are favorites for many others...

Good effort though, thanks...hv provided a link @ my blog aweBsome - all that's awesome on the web @ http://www.eit.in/b/awe/

I'd just like to say htat I've been using Outlook 2007 for about a year and a half now and I have received NO spam. It has all been very thoughtfully removed before I ever see it.
