With the major flaws being fixed, how concerned should we be with the 80% of the bugs not being fixed. Or is the Firefox "platform" so sound, that it's a non-factor?
Here are some Release Notes on the 3.0 Beta
Extensions that I had that were disabled due to incompatibility with 3.0
1) IE Tab: enables the use of embedded IE engine within Mozilla Firefox (That worked excellently).
2) PDF Download: allows viewing of PDF files inside the browser.
3) US and Canadian English Dictionaries: yet Spell Check is functional.
I haven't done any other checking, or confirming the above, other than when I installed 3.0, it said these were disabled. Also in checking Tools/ Add Ons/Extensions, are grayed out with a red exclamation point next to them. In running an update for the 3 above, it said none were avaliable.
While editing this post previously in 3.0, the link would not highlight but did when I submitted it: and in this edit, the bullets would not show.

Yes, they will have these security features: from the Release Notes link above:
Sorry, the links below came with my copy/paste and are for testing 3.0
* Malware Protection: malware protection warns users when they arrive at sites which are known to install viruses, spyware, trojans or other malware. You can test it here (note: our blacklist of malware sites is not yet activated).
* Anti-virus integration: Firefox will inform anti-virus software when downloading executables.
* New Web Forgery Protection page: the content of pages suspected as web forgeries is no longer shown. You can test it here.
