iTunes software does not place any DRM on music ripped from CDs. If the file is playable in iTunes and was not purchased from iTunes Music Store, it is DRM free. Furthermore, not all tracks from iTunes Music Store are DRM protected. iTunes allows users to choose between MP3 and AAC file formats (with a number of options with each format). If users choose MP3, then there is no difference between a track ripped from the CD in iTunes and most tracks "downloaded illegally," legal differences notwithstanding.

How could you possible miss Pandora.com?

It's easy to use, and has an extremely fast buffer with high quality sound. Beat that Last.FM.

Geez I really kind of feel sorry for anyone who can't download whatever he/she wants by any P2P program. Thanks for the info PCW but as long as us down here can download anything free, the above info is totally useless. The concept started by Napster followed by Morpheus, Kazaa, Ares, Azureus etc will probably never be defeated and if they finally do someday, new tecnologies and players will take their place and only peers' HDs size are the limit.

Ok, the last post was about 2 years ago. ...have you tried accessing seeqpod recently? they are off the air. Seeqpod was a good music search engine, unlike the others that offer a lower quality, and those you have to pay for. I miss seeqpod a lot, and I'd like to see it come back on. ...just to listen to good music and to watch the “crawls” of music tracks.
