Close-minded? No...but ignorance is bliss isn't it. You have absolutly no clue what your talking about. Granted that all OS's when first released have several problems that need to be worked out and I'll cut you some slack for standing behind Vista on that but there are TONS of other problems with Vista that is purely a Microsoft problem...not a newly realeased OS problem. Your just plain wrong and ignorant and yes I know exaclty what I'm talking about because I'm a web developer and graphic designer that works on computers 24/7. I run a Vista, XP, Mac X and Linux everyday to code for the different systems to make sure they view properly. And I would be more than happy to go into detail all of the MASSIVE problems Vista has however I may blow up the sever with the size of this post. But the main ones are, HUGE security flaws, the Outlook problems I could write a book on, a huge resource hog, can we say 'spy-ware' EVERYWHERE, I'm betting Microsoft knows more about you than the government.
So you say I don't know what I'm talking about, please prove me wrong and every 'convience' of Vista you give me, I'll supply you with 5 problems the OS has. Come on...let's play a game, bet I win.

Well it looks like the moderators nerfed my reply to you bmarshall, so let me sum it up real quick-like.
I'm tired of responding to reactionary flame-war antagonists like you. I've already fought this fight with others, if you'd like to read my other posts, I'm sure you'll find your response there. Bottom line is I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about this or even bother to beat you at your little game.
BTW, I'm not that impressed by your experience as a (ooooohhh) web developer. You want experience? How about 20+ years building PC's, working as a System Architect, Software Developer on at least 5 platforms, DBA, Analyst, Consultant, yada yada yada. So don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

I know dude, but every time I say something nice about Vista, some yahoo writes his first post and hits me in the head with a sledgehammer. I'm trying to be diplomatic about things but how many insults can a person take before firing back??
Anyways, I'll try and be good. Sorry.

that's because you forget the most important rule in tech forums: "I don't like Vista, then why should you" and its countless iterations such as "I like Ubuntu, so why shouldn't you" "I like XP so why shouldn't you" and "I like Mac os so why shouldn't you".
