GZYN has a similar proposition for authors and is already in beta at www.gzyn.com . Writers can write articles on any topic and optionally participate in our Ad Revenue Share program (this program is made possible through Google's AdSense API).
I agree that knowing the authors and their authority on the subject matter greatly enhances a reader's experience. To provide the best value to it's readers and writers, GZYN offers its writers 90% of the revenue generated by their article pages and their profile page.
