This makes perfect sense, for a multitude of reasons:
1. Its easier to illegally download music on a PC.
2. PC's control a substantially larger margin of the market, therefore a buisnes/military computers are more likely to be PC's and they play music much less than home computers.
3. One word: iTunes preloaded (ok thats two..)

This is a useless survey and misleading article. Why? Let see: A 32 percent of Mac downloads and buys CD. That is a 6 to 9 per cent of the computer market, lets say 10 million are Mac against 28 percent of PC that have a 90 percent of the market of 100 million of more. Humm, I wonder how many in real numbers are Mac user downloading music and how many in real numbers (not percentage) are PC users downloading music?

@ Jazzy:

Its not about the raw numbers, it IS about the percentage. Its testing how likely a computer user will listen to/buy music, not measuring raw numbers of how many sales there are.

Yes, you are right! It's about percentage when you want to see some figures in a different light. But this article is meaningless. On everything there is, always the small amount will show a large increase in percenatage. 11 = 2, thats is a 50 percent increase, but is only just 1 more. 102 = 12, that is only a 2 percent increase, but the increase was large than 1 +1, it was 2 more units. It's just twisting numbers to put a positive spin. That is what CEO does in stock meetings. They put positive spins by using percenatage and point out how good the company is doing when in reality is not. That what Enron did and sucker everybody. This article is for suckers.
