I agree, Daniel. OpenOffice.org is also hundreds of dollars cheaper. ;) Except it's outdated.
On Macs: Did you notice how Microsoft waited until right after they released the new version of Office 2008 to notify people of a security error in the 2004 version? Are they now trying to scare people into upgrading? DON'T GET MICROSOFT OFFICE. Get iWork instead. It's several times cheaper, doesn't have Microsoft's patented security flaws, and any great new features found in Office 2008 were simply taken from iWork.

Sounds like MS is trying to drum up sales for Office 2007 and Office 2008, how pathetic!

Do you people ever have anything positive to say? The Microsoft bashing goes on and on. It's getting old, tiresome and most of you whiners are still using PC's. Buy a Mac, go live on an island and shut up.

Alternates in the free online space are Google Docs, Zoho, Thinkfree and eDeskOnline.

I also use third party stuff whenever possible.
And thats a good thing. ;)
