You wrote, "To display all file name extensions, open Windows Explorer, select Tools, Folder Options, View . . ." When I open Windows Explorer, there is no Tools folder. I did asearch for "Tools" and came up empty. I did another for "Hide extensions for known" anywhere in the file and again came up empty. Where can I get the Tools folder? pwest1@wowway.com

Hi. He was referring to the menu bar at the top of Explorer. File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help. If you cannot see this menu bar. The last item on the tools menu is usually the Folder Options.

I was going to say if you cannot see the menu strip at the top of Explorer, then something unusual has happened, and I do not know how to restore it unless it involves editing or restoring the Windows Registry.
