Xbox 360 is going to last longer than 4.5 years. PS2 took 8 years to reach 125 million so why compare that to only 4.5 years for the Xbox 360? That means you're only expecting the 360 to last until May of next year. LOL. Xbox 360 is already at 20 million shipped worldwide. I seriously doubt MS is only going to ship another ~8 million consoles this generation worldwide. MS said they expect the 360 to have a long tail and that they will continue to support it even after the next Xbox is released. Now that MS owns all the hardware inside the 360 they have every reason to do so.
It's debatable whether the Wii is even a part of this console war. The games on 360 can't be made for Wii and the games on Wii can't be made for 360, so how are they competing? If you are going to include Wii, why not include DS and PSP too? Why not include cellphone and PC hardware sales? Seems silly. The point of selling hardware is to sell software & that's what the 360 is doing & the other consoles are not.

What is wrong with this artcle? Lets see, Xbox just reach 10 million units sold in 30 months. Then it says it took Nintendo Wii 18 months to to reach 24 millions. Why celebrated 10 million when the competition, Nintendo, already reach 24 million in half the time. Unless all these numbers are all wrong and throw out there to exited every one. I will suggest to Game Pro Staff to do their homework and get their numbers correct. This is a useless piece of information.
