Tradition is your best excuse for this absurdity? Wow. Amazing that no one has thought about moving the Best of 2008 to the December issue. PC World has just jumped the shark. How about retitling this simply "Our favorites so far" and take the year out of the title?

Oh my, typical American arrogance.... I was excited to think I would be able to access high-quality videoat Hulu... Nope, just for the Americans. Do you all really think you're the only ones in the world?? Damn, that psses me off. Not at the site, who can choose whomever they like to access their site, but to PCW for misleading us, yet again, in thinking they are representing us all, when in reality they represent American readers only. Even a disclaimer, before I go rushing off to waste time and energy, that the sites you so blithely recommend are US only would be appreciated. But no.... sigh* I haven't even looked at the rest of the list...
Should I bother?

"The products that were the most fun, offered the most productivity gain, or the ones that made everyday stuff easier"
How about Digsby? Hell, it even came out in 2008. It is revolutionizing instant messaging by integrating social networking and being completely cross-platform, without being bloated and is making the previous top messaging clients sweat. If iChat is on here, Digsby should heftily outrank it.

So some IDIOT thinks VISTA should be in the top 100 best products of 2008? He must be insane and an escapee from a mental institution if he thinks VISTA is even worth a mention. That system has had more problems than any other edition of Windows since the 1st edition. 8 out of 10 people have negative issues with it, that is IMO but with all the bad press it has gotten and the rotten reviews it has received, if this list HAD have included VISTA I would not have even bothered to read anything beyond that. The composers of this list, like most of the uses of VISTA all agree it was a big big FLOP, you must be a hard core Microsoft fan. Well sorry to say, MACINTOSH IS BETTER, it always was, It STILL IS and it ALWAYS WILL BE!!!!!

Great list. We are in 2009, so it makes sense as a review for 08. Another good resource on finance articles
