kwjordon has it right. I've occasionally had to use a relative's and it was a miserable experience. The keyboard was terrible and having to use that slide thing just wasn't where its at. have a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic keyboard 4000 and moving to a flat one is terribly awkward and uncomfortable to use. I also like having my 24" HD monitor in front of me and with 4GB RAM that end of things is covered very well for my Vista Ultimate. I'm probably missing it, but I don't remember seeing any laptops with that capacity. Its also a bother to have to plug in a printer and the internet connection. Also I have a Blu Ray and an HDDVD drive in my desktop as well as a Pinnacle HD TV Tuner card as well as easy connections to my Logitech speaker system. I really can't imagine any laptop managing to handle all that. In short I think that are really a pain.
