yup like i said pc world editors are unorginal. im starting to wonder if they read their forums then steal other people's recommendations? i mentioned digsby way before it was mentioned on pc world by their editors yet their trying to give themselves credit for it? they should give credit to those who mention it 1st rather then slap their own name on the reviews and articles.
hell i bet most these products the editor themselves never touched just went by other ppl's recommendations. and i dont want to hear they knew about digsby before me, i knew about it it just hit beta not public beta back in feb. there were less then 100 users when i started using digby.

Hi vMATTLEEv,

You're right that we editors at PC World look for good ideas from our community members. Every day there are great tips on products and workarounds in our forums and we use that information to make our articles better. However, when we use information from a community member, we do our best to give that reader credit for the information. (You'll see a good example of that in this edition of Lincoln Spector's Answer Line.) I didn't work on this story, but my guess is that the author, Preston Gralla, came across Digsby on his own and wasn't aware of your comment.

One other thing: Our authors always try programs and services before they recommend them. In fact, you can see from the screenshot included that Preston had his own account at Digsby.

These editors should never be able to recommend products others already have. they need to try products on their own not try them solely after others recommend them. if their gonna recommend a product others recommend first they should have to give credit to the person they got the recommendation from. otherwise everyone should be an editor. how about be like me, and try products before others recommend them and only recommend them after trying them yourself?

i used revo uninstall before most heard of it. 90% of what pc world recommends ive already been using or had used. comodo firewall is another i used since almost the beginning. the fact they dont try products without others recommending them first means they have no business writing an article. hell im better suited as editor then most here writing them. like the girl who recommends only products that are outdated, yes we all want outdated products on our systems.

how do people get a job here anyways? by being unorginal? sucking up? removed i mean it cant be from qualifications of using products since they never use a product until others do first. others are supposed to be test subjects while the editors get paid? the ones who get paid should try products before others do, its that simple.
