ACLU, EFF Sue US Gov't Over Mobile Phone Tracking

People should be careful of any court decisions. Some balance has to be found between using this technique and abusing this technique. Completely not allowing them to track people would be a mistake, and allowing cops to arrest or even stalk anyone they think may be a suspect without probable cause would also be a mistake.

Why not make this nifty service voluntary and easy to turn on or off by the cell phone customer?

Dean Boyd of DOJ's National Security Division, (notice how more and more illegal activities are getting put under this money making umbrella?), said, "Law enforcement has absolutely no interest in tracking the locations of law abiding citizens ...."
