Anyone who needs coverage outside a big metropolitan area is waiting for something like the iPhone to come to Verizon or whatever their favorite carrier is. Limiting the iPhone to AT&T was the biggest limitation on adoption of the iPhone.

apple made a good move picking at&t not only are they biggest wireless proviser in the us the also carry coverage to places like Japan And koera ihave nextel and verizon and their service really sucks. I never had any service with my verizon phone out where i lived way out passed any metro areas same with nextel as soon as bought an AT&T phone everywhere i raveled had got the best wireless coverage. i also recieved coverage in FIJI.

You know soccer is the number 1 sport in the world - it just doesnt work in the us that way. I still have my doubts. And how many of us are going to Japan or Korea in the short term.
