I hear that spoken directions (i.e. turn-by-turn) are forbidden by the developers agreement terms with Apple. I have not verified this.

I just found a very nice application for transferring iPhone photos from and to a PC! It's called CopyTrans Photo and it also works with the iPhone 3G and any kind of iPod photo.
